Specialist Medical Bolt-Ons

Focused, regulated specialist awards that extend a first aider’s scope for higher-risk roles and environments — from anaphylaxis response and emergency oxygen to the management of catastrophic bleeding.

How Bolt-Ons Work

Regulated awards that build on a first aider

These bolt-ons add specialist capability to a learner’s existing first aid training, for individuals and organisations who need targeted skills for a specific role, risk profile or operational context. Anaphylaxis response and emergency oxygen are delivered as regulated QNUK Level 3 awards in their own right; the management of catastrophic bleeding is delivered within the QNUK first aid award.

How these are certificated

Anaphylaxis response and emergency oxygen are issued as regulated QNUK Level 3 awards through an approved centre. The management of catastrophic bleeding is delivered as part of the QNUK first aid award rather than as a separate certificate, and is also embedded in FREC. We confirm the exact award and route at the point of booking.

Specialist medical bolt-ons are delivered as part of Britannia Elite’s wider first aid and pre-hospital provision. To discuss awards or group training, contact info@britannia-elite.co.uk.
